The floats of the Patras Carnival, built every year by the Carnival Workshop of the Municipality of Patras, constitute an inextricably linked feature with the great celebration of Patras, established in the consciousness of the whole country as the leader in its kind on a panhellenic scale and as one of the most important internationally.

The Patras International Festival is one of the biggest summer cultural institutions of Greece.

The Cairo International Book Fair is the largest and oldest book fair in the Arab world, held every year in the last week of January in Cairo, Egypt, at Egypt International Exhibitions Center in New Cairo. It is organised by the General Egyptian Book Organisation.

During the two weeks the event takes place every year, it offers a series of music, dance and theatre events, artistic and other exhibitions, and lectures.
