Mediterranean Culture Goes Global with Malta’s Med.TV on GO and SKY Italia
Malta has become the home of Med.TV, the world’s first television channel devoted entirely to Mediterranean culture, lifestyle, and business. Founded by Anton Tabone, former Maltese diplomat to the United Nations, the channel has officially gone live on GO and SKY Italia, marking Malta’s first broadcaster to secure a satellite licence and reaching over 160 million households across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.
Med.TV showcases the region’s diversity through cultural documentaries, travel and food shows, original series, and exclusive live events. Programming is available in multiple languages—including English, Italian, French, Arabic, Spanish, and Greek—with English subtitles to preserve authenticity. Tabone highlights the channel’s mission: “The Mediterranean has always been a crossroads of civilisations… launching Med.TV from Malta reflects who we are and where we’re heading.”
